Black light puppet: (Three puppeteers)

1. Black light puppet Head

2. Right Hand & Foot (A puppeteer on right side of Head)

3. Left Hand & Foot (A puppeteer on left side of Head)

PROPS

PROPS

1. Head (Fluorescent face on black wood block attached to a long black stick.

The mouth can be a hair scrunchie painted with fluorescent paint. Attach a long metal rod (black) to give mouth movement.

2. White gloves

3. Feet (Bright fluorescent shoes or feet on black rods).

OUTLINE OF STORY:

PROPS / ACTIONS:

· Puppet face comes up and asks audience to help her. Puppet tells them to do what s/he does.

· Puppet tells them all they need are their hands…Puppet realizes he forgot his hands. Puppet calls hand up.

· Black lights are turned up

· Puppet face enters

· Puppet’s hands come up in a flourish on right and left of head.

· Puppet hands enter

· Puppet tells audience to get their feet ready.

· Puppet realized that he forgot her feet.

· Puppet calls feet up

· Puppet feet enter from opposite sides of stage and run to place.

(Puppet tells the audience to repeat her actions. Puppet begins…)

· Hi, My name is Jolean. And I work all day in a button factory.

· One day, my boss came to me and he said, “Jolean, are you busy?”

· And I said, “No.”

· He said, “Turn this button with your right hand”

· Puppet turns right hand in air

· (Puppet reminds Audience is to follow)

(Repeat above…)

· Hi, My name is Jolean. And I work all day in a button factory.

· One day, my boss came to me and he said, “Jolean, are you busy?”

· And I said, “No.”

· He said, “Turn this button with your Left hand”

· (Puppet Right Hand keeps turning in the air)

· Puppet Left Hand begins turning

(Puppet continues to repeat above words and adds a new motion each time)

· Right Foot

· Left Foot

· Head

· (Puppet’s feet, hands, and head join as called upon)

· Keep doing all the motions as you add the new ones.

· Keep encouraging audience to keep up.

(End with…)

· Hi, My name is Jolean. And I work all day in a button factory.

· One day, my boss came to me and he said, “Jolean, are you busy?”

· Puppeteers keep doing motions

· And I said, “YES!”

· Puppeteers stop

· Lights go out
