OUTLINE OF STORY:

PROPS / ACTIONS:

  1. Where have all the flowers gone…

…They’ve gone to the young girls…

When will they ever learn, Oh when will they ever learn.

 

·      Three flowers on stage in a row (use a prop box).  Each one, in turn, slowly sinks and disappears behind stage.

·      Girls appear holding flower.

 

  1. Where have all the young girls gone

…They’ve gone to the young men…

 

·        Girls (one at a time) turn and slowly exit the stage.  The boys come up in their place.

 

  1. Where have all the young men gone

…They’ve gone to be soldiers…

 

·        Boys exit one at a time, then they return (marching) in uniform.

 

  1. Where have all the soldiers gone?

…They’ve gone to the graveyards…

 

·        Soldiers turn and exit one at a time.  A tombstone rises in their place.

 

  1. Where have all the graveyards gone

…They’ve gone to the flowers…

 

·        Slowly, a flower rises by each tombstone.

 

  1. Where have all the flowers gone?

·        One girl puppet, still holding a flower, enters center stage.  Bows head.  Song ends.
