OUTLINE OF STORY:

PROPS / ACTIONS:

·        Chorus:

o       I’m in love with a big blue frog; a big blue frog loves me. 

·        Lights come up on lower and upper stages.

·        Big blue frog on upper stage in center (feet extend to lower stage and are operated by another person)

·        Black cloth covers top of frog

·        Lead singer up on lower stage

·        Frog dances throughout most of song

·        Verse 1:

o       Its not as bad appears to be she’s got glasses and she’s six foot three

 

 

 

·        Pull black cloth off puppet to reveal the whole “Big Blue Frog”

·        Verse 2:

o       Now I’m not worried about our kids I know they’ll turn out neat

o       Great swimmers cause they have her feet

·        Back-up frogs enter on lower stage on opposite side of stage to lead singer.

·        Back-up frogs sing the “Oooo’s”

o       They’ll be great looking because they have my face.

·        Lead singer holds up mirror to self.

o       Great swimmers cause they’ll have her feet.

·        Frog puts foot around lead singer.

·        Back-up singers laugh.

·        Chorus:

·        Verse 3:

o       Its not as bad appears to be she’s got rhythm and a Ph.D.

·        All (except big blue frog) sing chorus

·        Back-up do “Oooo’s” during verse

·        Back-ups laugh after verse

·        Croak Interlude

·        Big Blue Frog Croaks (maybe lifts legs together with each “croak.”)

·        Back-up singers do “Ribbets.”

·        Lead singer stays relatively still during interlude.

·        Verse 4

o       Well I know we can make things work.  She’s got good family sense.

·        Lead sings

·        NO “Oooo’s”

o       Her mother was a frog from Philadelphia!

o       Do tell!

·        Back-up frogs speak to each other

·        (Lead singer and big blue frog stop [no dancing] and look at back-ups while they say their lines.)

o       Her daddy an enchanted prince

·        Lead sings last line

·        Back-ups laugh

·        Chorus

·        Verse 4

o       Now I’ve got a tattoo on my chest that says, P-H-R-O-G

o       Its frog to me

·        All sing chorus

·        Lead pulls up P-H-R-O-G sign

·        Back-ups do the “Oooo’s”

o       Oh Yea!

o       P-H-R-O-G

·        Lead sings

o       Croak, croak, croak, croak, ribbet!

·        Big blue frog sings final line

·        Lights go out after “ribbet” and the music stops.
