a.      Three Slinky puppets (Slinkies painted with fluorescent paint and with a base and rod, to manipulate puppet, attached on each end.  Puppet can be covered with nylon hose dyed in a fluorescent colors – Red, White, and Blue.  Also, slinkies can have a black thread attached to their middle and put over the upper stage.  This string can be pulled to make the slinky puppet move up and down.)

2.      Eyes on slinky in middle

3.      Tape of circus music, “Stars & Stripes Forever.”

4.      Three, small, fluorescent tops hats with red & white stripes.

 

 

OUTLINE OF STORY:

PROPS / ACTIONS:

·        Music Intro (2 measures)

·        All lights (Black lights & lower stage lights) are turned up

·        Music starts

·        Red slinky puppet marches up onto stage right. (8 measures)

·        1st slinky enters

o       March to music

o       Moves to beat.

·        White Slinky puppet marches up onto stage center (8 measures)

 

·        2nd slinky puppet enters & joins first

o       Marches to music

o       Moves to beat

·        Blue Slinky puppet marches up onto stage left

 

·        3rd slinky puppet enters & joins others

o       Marches to music

o       Red & Blue puppet salute

o       White puppet keeps marching

·        Puppets march slowly to quieter flute music

 

·        Slide hats (attached to black string on slinky) over top of stage so that they slide down and land on top of each slinky’s head.

·        Puppet move with greater exaggeration to music

 

·        Move puppet in time with music

o       Move red & blue slinkies (the puppets on the left & right) up and down together and move the white slinky (middle opposite to them).

o       Cut off regular lights during final crescendo and just leave the black lights on.

·        Slinkies go wilder as music progresses

·        Stronger shaking, up and down movements, etc.

 

·        Slinkies grow wilder

·        Music ends, lights go out.
