STORY SUMMARY: Audience is taught King Tut Dance to be used with Steve Martin’s song, King Tut. Black light puppets dance with audience.

1. One Slinky puppet (Slinky painted with fluorescent paint and with a base and rod, to manipulate puppet, attached on each end. Puppet can be covered with nylon hose dyed in a fluorescent color. Also, slinky can have a black thread attached to its middle and put over the upper stage. This string can be pulled to make the slinky puppet move up and down.) 2. Two snake slinky puppets in a can. They have a snakehead (from Nylon hose) and are pulled out of the can by a black string. |

4. Fluorescent head gear (like a Pharaoh type hat) for puppeteer leading dance. |

Teach Dance (in line facing stage) KING TUT (A “tut” is an Egyptian stance. Both arms to side one high and one low) Tut R,L,R,L (Right, Left,
Right, Left) Hitchhike R, L Roll Arms Down, Up Right Hand to L Thigh, L
Hand to R Thigh Right Hand to R Bun, L
Hand to Left Bun With both hands on respective buns, hop in place 4 times, & on the fourth beat clap your hands (repeat until dance ends) |
· Stage lights up · Puppeteer comes out and teaches the dance while the other puppeteers set up the slinky puppets. o Put snake slinky puppets on either side of stage o Put other slinky in center |

· Puppeteer leads dance wearing headgear and gloves. |
· Stage lights off · Black lights turned up · Music starts o Audience dances o Puppets dance § Snakes move up and down § Center slinky imitates dance · Music ends · Lights go out. |
