STORY SUMMARY: 

Band of Animals sing song.  A tired Lion keeps complaining that he can’t sleep because of all the racket.  Lion finally joins band and everyone runs away.

OUTLINE OF STORY:

PROPS / ACTIONS:

·        Lion is tired and lies down to sleep

·        Enter Lion on upper stage

·        Other animals come and discuss the lion.  They’re worried about what he’s up to.  One animal announces that he has good news.  He clears throat and the song begins.

·        Animals enter lower stage

·        Animals sing song

·        Lion starts tossing and turning in his sleep. 

·        He starts complaining that he can’t sleep with all that racket going on.

·        He exits and comes back…

o       Wearing earmuffs then…

o       Playing a trumpet to out do band

o       Etc., finally decides to join them

·        Animals end song and lion joins them.  Animals all flee, Lion tries to sleep but can’t because its too quiet. 

·        Animals exit

·        Lion exits looking for animals
