STORY SUMMARY: Puppet is on a journey and encounters different puppets. Each new puppet ask if s/he hates them or not. The puppet celebrates each difference that she recognizes is from God, i.e., how they were made, cultural differences, etc. The puppet dislikes each difference that is harmful or hateful.
CRUX OF STORY/LESSON: We can celebrate our differences.

· Ruth enters. She is on a journey to visit her friends. o She has quite a story to tell o She wants audience to know it. |
· Ruth enters lower stage on left. · Stage has a tree and a cave on the right. |

· Elephant enters, trips and knocks over the tree. o He is clumsy, apologizes a lot and expects Ruth to make fun of him. o Ruth asks audience what they think of the elephant. · Ruth comments on how she felt clumsy when she first moved to Bethlehem. She had a lot to learn. Some people hated her, but she has learned to celebrate the differences of others and not make fun of them. · Elephant thanks her. |
· Enter elephant · Tree exits · Elephant exits with a trip and falls. |

· Ruth meets octopus · Octopus apologizes for spraying her. Asks Ruth if she hates her. · Ruth asks audience what they think. · Ruth doesn’t like being sprayed, but she understands why. · Ruth tells octopus not to be ashamed. God made her that way and she is a fine octopus. · She explains how she felt afraid when she followed her mother-in-law (gives more info on her story). She felt shy in her new home but she learned to trust in God and have confidence in how God had made her. |
· Ruth trips on something and is sprayed. o Octopus enters o Octopus exits after she talks to Ruth. |

· Rabbit enters · Ruth has trouble understanding rabbit because of his accent. · Rabbit expects Ruth to hate him. · Ruth asks audience what they think. · Ruth explains how she was a stranger in a new land and how God had made all kinds of people (and animals). Being different doesn’t make them bad. |
· Rabbit enters from cave. |

· Wolf enters · Wolf expects Ruth to run too. · Ruth asks audience what they think. · Ruth explains how she doesn’t believe all the bad things people say about others. She has learned to judge each person as an individual · Rabbits are wise to fear wolf but she is not a rabbit and knows better than to believe gossip about wolves. · Elephant and octopus enter, see wolf and start to leave · Ruth calls them back and invites them (& audience) to learn more in BE. |
· Wolf enters · Rabbit makes quick exit into cave. · Elephant and Octopus enter o Rabbit peaks out of cave on occasion, may speak out once or twice. o Ruth invites animals and audience to learn more about overcoming prejudice by learning to celebrate our differences. · Ruth goes over Bible memory verse with audience and sends explorers on their journey (to their learning centers). · All exit. |
