Year (B): 1 Scripture: Mark 2:1-12

Bible Memory Verse: When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the

paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” (Mk. 2:5)

Workshop	Concept	Teacher
1. Temple	Jesus forgives our sin.
2. Video	Those in need of healing should seek Jesus.
3. Games	Forgiveness of sins can release us from life’s burdens.
4. Drama	The faith of friends can bring healing.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

· The faith of friends can help us find healing.

MATERIALS:

· Costumes, video camera, props

PLAN:

· Intro.

· Find memory verse in Bible, review.

· Discuss role of friends in story.

o Discuss families, persons, etc., that the church has helped. Discuss persons you have helped that may not know your church very well.

o If appropriate, discuss video taping a dramatization of the story of Jesus healing the paralytic and send it to the person or family your church has helped as another act of friendship.

· Divide the story of the paralytic into sections.

o Act out each section and video tape it. (You can put the video recorder into pause mode between scenes if you do not have desire (or time later) to edit the tape.

o View tape with group.

· Send the tape with other scenes from your church to the person or family identified earlier.
