LEARNING OUTCOMES: 

·         Those in need of healing should seek Jesus.

 

MATERIALS:  Two videos…

·         For Children:  The New Media BIBLE, Luke – Part 2 “Early Ministry”

·         For Youth:  Whole and Forgiven, EcuFilm, A Bible Study Experience with Walter Wink.  1. The Man Let Down Through the Roof.

·         Popcorn, drinks, etc.

 

PLAN:

·         Intro.  Find Memory verse in Bible, review.

·         View appropriate video and discuss

 

ADAPTATIONS:

Children

Youth

·         View 1st 10 minutes, or so, up through the story of the paralytic.

·         Discuss story.

·         Do project with clay (or playdough) that is explained in the EcuFilm video.

·         Watch more of the video after everyone is done and the discussion is over.

·         End with prayer.

 

·         Prepare group for centering.  View tape through first fade to black after role play.  Have group role play Mk. 2:1-12.

·         View tape until group works with clay.

·         Stop at this point & discuss questions (they come with the video).

·         Have group make their own clay projects.

·         Discuss.  End with prayer.

 

Recipe for Play Dough

 

·        1 ˝  cup Water

·        ˝ cup

·        2 ˝ cups flour

·        2 tbls Alum

·        1 tbl. Oil

·        Drop of food color

 

Heat water and salt until boiling.  Add rest and mix well.  Let cool.  Knead well.  Put in plastic bag.
